  1. Ramon Imperial of RPN NewsWatch served as a sit-in anchor for Harry Gasser (who died in 2014) was starting his stint from 1976 until he retired in 2006. Imperial was born 1928 in Dagupan, Pangasinan. He graduated from BS MassCom in Lyceum Northeast University in Lingayen, Pangasinan. Imperial moved to Manila in the 1950s for National Newscasts. He joined NewsCenter 4 in 1975-1976 and NewsWatch of RPN-9 from 1976-2006 After 2006, Ramon Imperial retired from broadcasting when he suffered miled stroke, hepathitis (which he died in 2016) He passed away in St. Luke's Medical Center, Taguig, Metro Manila in 2016 due to hepathitis He was buried in a Roman Catholic Cemetery in Dagupan, Pangasinan where he was born. He is the youngest of the siblings His older brother, Jose Imperial 1926 died in 2004 of pneumonia and his other siblings died of bronchitis, etc. in 1998, 1996, 2001, etc. He is the youngest son of Felix Imperial and Macaria Corpuz-Imperial. His father, Felix was a farmer and his mother is a fisherfolk He is happily married and has children, grandchildren as well. He is the cousin of Ignacio ''Ig-Ig'' Imperial and the grandson of Vicente Imperial He is dubbed the ''Asian Walter Cronkite'' due to his distinct news delivery ala-Walter Cronkite. Tatay Monching, Lolo Monching, Tito Monching, Tata Mons, etc. will be missed by former NewsWatch anchors Orly Mercado (of Kapwa Ko, Mahal Ko), Noli De Castro, etc.
